The Sui Generis VisionMaterials |
"Sui Generis" is the latin phrase for "unique." Since every one of us is inimitable, each jewelry piece designed by Andrea is hand crafted into a one of a kind piece.
With pleasure, Andrea creates your special piece, reflecting your very own Sui Generis. Andrea is deeply connected to nature, which is reflected in the motives of her work.
For her jewelry designs, Andrea uses mostly gold, silver, and metals like copper and steel. Additionally, she uses precious and semi precious gemstones, as well and pebbles, fossils, bone or wood. About Andrea Born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, Andrea learned the art of jewelry making from a master goldsmith. During her four-year apprenticeship, she studied the handcrafting of a variety of precious metals into unique and high quality pieces of art.
Andrea exerted her creativity out of her own studio and continued to further her education by taking classes at the European Academy of Gold and Silversmith in Germany. Moving to Edmonton in 2007, Andrea started her jewelry business, Sui Generis, and has been designing and selling her work locally and internationally ever since. Andrea enjoys spending time with her family, finding inspiration in nature, and exploring the beautiful Canadian outdoors. Andrea is also a passionate print artist.
